Full-Stack Software Engineer (Ruby on Rails)

Measured is hiring an experienced Full-Stack Software Engineer to help us build a world-class telemedicine platform tackling chronic conditions like obesity. We are passionate about providing affordable and accessible care to help people live happier and healthier lives.
This is a full-stack role, with a strong emphasis on building with Ruby on Rails, and we're looking for someone whose current role involves Ruby on Rails.
What You'll Do:
Back-End Development:
- Develop robust back-end services and APIs using Ruby on Rails.
- Ensure data integrity and security through effective database design and implementation.
- Integrate third-party APIs and services to enhance platform functionality.
Front-End Development:
- Implement and maintain front-end interfaces using Hotwire and React.js.
- Collaborate with design and product teams to create a seamless and intuitive user experience.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
Deployment and Operations:
- Deploy and manage applications on AWS, Vercel, and Heroku.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth and reliable deployments.
Collaboration and Optimization:
- Work closely with the operations and product teams to optimize workflow and maximize care quality and delivery time.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and performance tuning to maintain high-quality standards.
What We're Looking For:
- Proficiency in Ruby and Ruby on Rails (RoR) is required
- 4+ years of experience with Ruby on Rails (RoR): Proven track record of delivering scalable and reliable back-end solutions.
- 2+ years of experience with React.js or similar frameworks: Ability to create dynamic, responsive front-end applications.
- Experience with cloud platforms: Familiarity with AWS, Vercel, or Heroku to manage deployments and infrastructure.
- Experience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Work from our Brooklyn office or remotely anywhere in the world (East Coast Business Hours).

Where You'll Work:
Flexible on location -- while we'd prefer you to be based in the greater NYC area (NY, NJ, CT) so you can work from our Brooklyn office, we are open to fully remote for the right candidate.
